There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Helios (1-6) defeated higher ranked Olivar (3-4) in Zaragoza 67-55 on Sunday. Helios forced 20 Olivar turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Eduardo Ibanez (191-2003) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Alejandro Abad (-2002) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Helios players scored in double figures. Guard Gonzalo Rodriguez (192-2004) came up with 19 points and forward Pablo Aso Jimenez (200-2003) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Olivar in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Helios left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 4 other teams. It was Olivar's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Helios will meet at home Esparreguera (#13) in the next round. Olivar will play against Igualada (#12) and hope to secure a win.
