Regular Season Round 5: M.Haifa - Ramat Hasharon 69-64

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked M.Haifa (3-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Ramat Hasharon (1-4) 69-64 on Monday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-1992, college: FSU) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four M.Haifa players scored in double figures. American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) produced 25 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the other American import swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. M.Haifa moved-up to fourth place. Loser Ramat Hasharon stay at the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with Hertzliya and ASA Jerusalem. M.Haifa will meet higher ranked M.Ramat Gan (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat Hasharon will play against H.Rishon LZ (#5) and hope to win that game.
