Regular Season Round 9: Bydgoszcz - LKS Lodz 50-47

Bydgoszcz can celebrate finally their first win this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat LKS Lodz (1-7) 50-47. Bydgoszcz forced 20 LKS Lodz turnovers. It was a good game for guard Wiktoria Zasada (170-2002) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Zuzanna Krupa (187-2001) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Bydgoszcz's coach Piotr Fedder allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Angelika Kowalska (179-1992) answered with 25 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Aleksandra Dzieciolowska (170-2004) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for LKS Lodz. Despite that victory Bydgoszcz went down to twelfth position due to points difference. LKS Lodz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. Bydgoszcz will play against Lomianki (#13) on the road in the next round. LKS Lodz will play against the league's leader Pol.Gdansk where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
