Regular Season Round 8: Slask - Start 91-84

EBL top team - WKS Slask (8-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Start (3-5) in Wroclaw 91-84. WKS Slask brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Start was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of Irish-Canadian Conor Morgan (206-1994, college: UBC, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Jakub Niziol (201-1996, college: Cal Poly) who added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four WKS Slask players scored in double figures. American guard Scoochie Smith (188-1994, college: Dayton) responded with 27 points and his fellow American import guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (195-1993, college: Oakland) scored 15 points and 6 assists. WKS Slask have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Start lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. They share the position with GTK and Czarni. WKS Slask will play against Enea Astoria (#15) in Bydgoszcz in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Start will play at home against Legia (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
