The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bourges as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bourges defeated 4th ranked Toulouse at home 66-57. Bourges made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Toulouse turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-1991, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. Bourges' coach Olivier Lafargue used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Noemie Brochant (181-1999) replied with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Aminata Gueye (193-2002) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Toulouse. Bourges have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Lyon. Newly promoted Toulouse dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Tarbes and Roche. Toulouse will play next round against Hainaut trying to get back on the winning streak. Bourges will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Villeneuve on the road.
