Date: November 18, 2022
Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked SIG (3-3) 80-55. SIG dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 20 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. SIG forced 29 CFBB turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American power forward Victoria Harris (191-1996, college: Rutgers) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Louise Dambach (176-1996) supported her with 11 points and 4 assists. Four SIG players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 7 rebounds by power forward Ines Pitarch-Granel (182-2006) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Swingman Tea Cleante (176-2006) added 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SIG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. SIG will play against league's leader Charnay in Charnay-les-Macon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play at home against Champagne (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
