Regular Season Round 10: Vitre - Poitiers 94-68

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Vitre and 7th ranked Poitiers had identical 4-5 record. This time Vitre used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Poitiers 94-68 on Friday night. Vitre dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Poitiers' 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Poitiers' players. Point guard Louis Prolhac (177-1991) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and Swiss guard Noah Burrell (193-1997) supported him with 19 points and 5 assists. Five Vitre players scored in double figures. Even 24 points (made all of his seven free throws) by American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) did not help to save the game for Poitiers. Point guard Marius Chambre (182-1998) added 10 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vitre maintains sixth position with 5-5 record, which they share with Lorient and Orchies. Loser Poitiers dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with 7 other teams. Vitre will meet CFBB (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Poitiers will play against Loon-Plage (#4) and hope to secure a win.
