Regular Season Round 8: Vic - Mataro UE 68-65

There was a minor upset when second-ranked Mataro UE (6-2) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Vic (6-2) 68-65 on Saturday. Vic forced 19 Mataro UE turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Jofre Canal (195-2000) who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jordi Iglesias (180-1997) chipped in 13 points. Point guard Ignasi Arino (180-1986) produced 20 points and forward Jordi Juanola (196-1998) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Vic moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Mataro UE. Vic will meet Castelldefels (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mataro UE will play against Agora Portals and hope to secure a win.
