Very important is a road loss of third ranked PAOK (5-2) against ninth ranked Niki Lefkadas (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting PAOK was defeated by Niki Lefkadas in a tough game in Lefkadas 55-62. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of PAOK. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Stasha Carey (188-1995, college: Rutgers) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Abby OConnor (183-1998, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Zada Williams (188-1996, college: Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks and guard Octavia Jett-Wilson (173-1999, college: Charlotte) scored 16 points. Niki Lefkadas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Chania and Proteas. PAOK at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Eleutheria M.. Niki Lefkadas will play against Giannena (#10) on the road in the next round. PAOK will play against Esperides (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
