Regular Season Round 10: Rubon - Tsmoki II 84-55

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Rubon's (6-5) home victory over 5th ranked Tsmoki II (3-6) in Vitebsk 84-55 on Saturday. Rubon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tsmoki II's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rubon made 7 blocks. Russian forward Marsel Ovsepyan (202-1990) notched 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the effort and Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (200-1990, agency: BIG) supported him with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Kanstantin Pasko (200-2003) did not help to save the game for Tsmoki II. Point guard Vadzim Tratsiak (185-2000) added 17 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rubon moved-up to third place. Tsmoki II lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Rubon will meet league's second-placed Grodno on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tsmoki II will play against Gomel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
