Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (3-2) against fourth ranked Hapoel Holon (4-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Ironi Nes-Ziona was defeated by Hapoel Holon in Holon 107-92. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. Hapoel Holon made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a good game for American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-1989, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 16 assists. American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 28 points and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard DJ Cooper (183-1990, college: Ohio) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import forward Tyler Bey (201-1998, college: Colorado, agency: Agency) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Jerusalem. Ironi Nes-Ziona at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Hapoel Holon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play at home against Bnei Hasharon (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
