Regular Season Round 7: Kamza - Tirana 89-75

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tirana: Kamza (#5) and Tirana (#4). Kamza (3-4) won against visiting Tirana (3-3) 89-75. Kamza forced 19 Tirana turnovers. Strangely Tirana outrebounded Kamza 44-28 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Quinton Gray (190, college: Queen's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. International forward Niko Thano (196-1991) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Kamza players scored in double figures. American guard Jakobi Bonner (188, college: Rollins, agency: BIG) answered with 32 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and Julian Hamati added 23 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Tirana. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kamza maintains fifth place with 3-4 record. Tirana at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Kamza will play against bottom-ranked Vllaznia (#6) in Shkodra in the next round. Tirana will play on the road against the league's leader Teuta in Durres and hopes to get back on the winning track.
