Regular Season Round 13: Norrkoping - Koping Stars 108-85

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Koping Stars (6-5) were smashed on the road by fifth ranked Norrkoping (6-2) 108-85 on Saturday. Norrkoping shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Koping Stars' players. International Adam Ramstedt (206-1995) nailed 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Canadian guard Koby McEwen (193-1997, college: Weber St.) accounted for 22 points. American guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) came up with 15 points and the other American import power forward Quatarrius Wilson (203-1996, college: SEMO) added 13 points respectively for Koping Stars in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Koping Stars lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Norrkoping will meet higher ranked BC Lulea (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koping Stars will play against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
