Regular Season Round 8: Lublin - Pruszkow 81-59

Bottom-ranked Pruszkow is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to fifth ranked Lublin (5-3) 81-59 on Saturday evening. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Pruszkow's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lublin made 7 blocks. The winners were led by American power forward Natasha Mack (193-1997, college: OK State, agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Olga Trzeciak (183-2000) supported her with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Even 12 points and 5 assists by guard Weronika Papiernik (174-1998) did not help to save the game for Pruszkow. Point guard Sonia Frojdenfal (160-1998) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lublin maintains fifth position with 5-3 record. Newly promoted Pruszkow still closes the standings with eight games lost. Lublin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pruszkow will play against Katarzynki (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
