Regular Season Round 4: BLMA - Villeneuve 69-82

Undefeated BLMA (3-1) recorded its first loss in Montpellier. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Villeneuve (3-1) 82-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BLMA. Villeneuve forced 21 BLMA turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Janelle Salaun (186-2001) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Kamiah Smalls (178-1998, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) who added 14 points during the contest. Four Villeneuve players scored in double figures. Villeneuve's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international point guard Romane Bernies (170-1993) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Mamignan Toure (183-1994) scored 13 points and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Villeneuve have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated BLMA. Villeneuve will play against league's leader Bourges at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BLMA will play against Flammes in Charleville and hopes to get back on the winning track.
