Regular Season Round 4: Hainaut - Tarbes 89-93

Everything could happen in Saint-Amand at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Tarbes and 10th ranked Hainaut had identical 1-2 record. But Hainaut was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Tarbes 93-89 on Saturday night. Tarbes shot 61.0 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by forward Yohana Ewodo (183-2001) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Marie-Paule Foppossi (185-1998, college: URI) supported her with 25 points. Croatian Iva Slonjsak (183-1997, agency: LBM Management) added 24 points for lost side. Five Hainaut players scored in double figures. Tarbes (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toulouse and Roche. Hainaut lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Tarbes will meet at home league's second-placed Lyon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hainaut will play against Toulouse (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
