Regular Season Round 8: Ragusa - Split 68-43

Premijer Liga top team - Ragusa (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Split (0-7) in Dubrovnik 68-43. Ragusa held Split to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Ella Majstorovic (172-2006) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 6 assists and guard Tea Ivanisevic (182-2004) who added 12 points during the contest. Forward Edita Skec (-2001) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tea Turic (178-1998) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record, which they share with Zagreb. Split at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Ragusa is looking forward to face league's second-placed Zagreb on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Split's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Split KAZL Split.
