Very important is a home loss of first ranked Cactus (3-1) against tenth ranked Mega (1-3) on Sunday night. Host Cactus were defeated by Mega in Tbilisi 70-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cactus. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 26-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by swingman Otari Buliava (198-1994) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Ronnie Rousseau III (175-1995, college: Antelope Valley) supported him with 21 points. Even a double-double of 15 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists by American power forward Jason Copman (198-1998, college: Dominican, NY) did not help to save the game for Cactus. His fellow American import guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) added 16 points for lost side. Mega left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Loser Cactus dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Delta. Mega will meet at home higher ranked Delta (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cactus' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Titebi.
