The most surprising game was the first loss of Boras (10-1) on the court of ninth ranked Uppsala on Monday night. Visitors were rolled over by Uppsala 100-78. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Boras. Uppsala made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Uppsala made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Anthony Mathis (193-1996, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) contributed with 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) answered with 19 points and the former international point guard Andreas Person (190-1991) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boras. Four Boras players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Uppsala maintains ninth place with 3-8 record. Boras at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Uppsala will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boras will play on the road against Koping Stars and are hoping to win this game.
