There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Grindavik (3-3) lost at home to eighth ranked Tindastoll (3-3) 94-83 on Monday. Grindavik was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-12 charge of Tindastoll, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American Keyshawn Woods (192-1996, college: Ohio St.) notched 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Irish-British forward Taiwo Badmus (199-1993, college: UVA Wise) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Lithuanian center Valdas Vasylius (201-1983, college: ODU) did not help to save the game for Grindavik. The former international guard Olafur Olafsson (194-1990) added 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tindastoll moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Grindavik. Tindastoll will meet at home league's second-placed Breidablik in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Grindavik will play against Stjarnan (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
