Regular Season Round 11: LKS Lodz - Trefl 2 111-55

Very expected game when 11th ranked Trefl 2 (5-7) was crushed on the road by second ranked LKS Lodz (11-1) 111-55 on Saturday. LKS Lodz dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl 2's 30 and made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Trefl 2 only scored seven points from the stripe. LKS Lodz forced 19 Trefl 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 45-26 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Bartosz Wrobel (190-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five LKS Lodz players scored in double figures. Power forward Maciej Nagel (200-2005) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Milosz Toczek (191-2005) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LKS Lodz keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Tarnovia. Trefl 2 at the other side dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. LKS Lodz will meet Zgierz (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl 2 will play against AZS UMK in Torun and hope to secure a win.
