Very important is a road loss of third ranked Navarra (5-3) against seventh ranked La Roda (4-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Navarra was defeated by La Roda in a tough game in La Roda 65-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Navarra. The winners were led by Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds and American-Jamaican guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-1996, college: Nicholls St., agency: Helping Ballers) supported him with 18 points. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by guard Raul Lobaco (195-2000) did not help to save the game for Navarra. Forward Inaki Ordonez (207-2003) added 11 points for the guests. La Roda maintains seventh position with 4-4 record. Navarra at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Ponferrada and Gran Canaria 2. La Roda will play against Zamora (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Navarra will play against Baskonia B (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
