Date: November 26, 2022
Everything went according to plan when second ranked UR Krakow (10-2) outscored at home 9th ranked Gliwice 2 (4-6) 98-72 on Saturday. UR Krakow had a 36-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gliwice 2's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Patryk Michalowski (198-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). Patryk Piszczatowski (190-1998) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Four UR Krakow players scored in double figures. Filip Maciejewski (192-2005) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Mikolaj Jopek (202-2006) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for UR Krakow. They maintain second place with 10-2 record having just two points less than leader Energa W-wa, which they share with Prudnik. Gliwice 2 at the other side dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. UR Krakow's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Krakow to the arena Korona.
