Regular Season Round 9: Rio Breogan - Tenerife 61-86
Date: November 26, 2022
Liga Endesa top team - Tenerife (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Rio Breogan (4-5) in Lugo 86-61. International center Fran Guerra (214-1992) stepped up and scored 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-1983) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American power forward Ethan Happ (208-1996, college: Wisconsin) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Nenadic (196-1994, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tenerife have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Rio Breogan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Valencia and Murcia. Tenerife are looking forward to face Fuenlabrada (#13) in Madrid in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Rio Breogan will play on the road against Girona and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
