There was no surprise in Valencia where 14th ranked Jovens (1-8) was defeated by twelfth ranked Picken Claret (3-6) 68-62 on Saturday. Picken Claret dominated down low during the game scoring 34 of its points in the paint compared to Jovens' 14. They outrebounded Jovens 40-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Francisco Climent (-2002) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Carlos Diaz (192-1996) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was point guard Bernat Mondragon (178-1996) with 13 points and Jorge Jodar (-1993) scored 13 points. Four Jovens players scored in double figures. Jovens' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Picken Claret moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Newly promoted Jovens keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Helios. Picken Claret will meet at home league's leader Lliria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jovens will play against Castello 2 (#6) and hope to win that game.
