Very predictable result in Tbilisi where fourth ranked Delta (4-1) defeated 10th ranked Mega (1-4) 82-76 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 28-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-4. Delta forced 19 Mega turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Gegi Baqradze (206-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American Ricardo Lynch (201-1998, college: Clayton St.) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Delta players scored in double figures. American point guard Ronnie Rousseau III (175-1995, college: Antelope Valley) produced 26 points and 4 assists and swingman Otari Buliava (198-1994) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Delta. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cactus. Loser Mega keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Vera. Delta will meet at home Titebi (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mega will play against Kutaisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
