Regular Season Round 7: E.Shomron - Ramat Hash. 70-76

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked E.Shomron (2-5) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Ramat Hash. (2-5) 76-70. Ramat Hash. made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Ramat Hash. outrebounded E.Shomron 55-30 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American Tyler Wideman (203-1995, college: Butler) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 25 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Center Amit Bier-Katz (208-1988) helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Ramat Hash. players scored in double figures. Ramat Hash.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Raijon Kelly (193-1993, college: Angelo St.) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Keith Stone (206-1997, college: Miami, FL) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Ramat Hash. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated E.Shomron. Ramat Hash. will play against higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (#3) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. E.Shomron will play on the road against H.Ramat Gan (#11) in Givataim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
