Very predictable result when first ranked Tarnovia (11-1) defeated on the road 10th ranked Pabianice (4-8) 90-72 on Sunday. Tarnovia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Pabianice's 34. They outrebounded Pabianice 57-30 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Seweryn Sroczynski (195-1995) who scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-1990) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Four Tarnovia players scored in double figures. Patryk Zawadzki (195-1995) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Szymon Gralewski (179-2001) added 19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Tarnovia. They maintain first place with 11-1 record, which they share with LKS Lodz. Pabianice lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Tarnovia will meet Ogniwo Szcz. (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pabianice will play against Trefl 2 in Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
