Regular Season Round 9: Mestre - Monfalcone 95-81

Very expected game when 11th ranked Monfalcone (3-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Mestre (8-1) 95-81 on Sunday. Mestre made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Alberto Conti (195-1998) who scored 26 points and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Naturalized Argentinian center Matias Bortolin (208-1993, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Marco Bacchin (185-1997) who recorded 16 points and 6 assists and the former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-1982) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively.
