Regular Season Round 11: Tarn.Gory - Wisla Krakow 68-53

There was no surprise in Tarnowskie Gory where bottom-ranked Wisla Krakow (0-11) was defeated by tenth ranked Tarn.Gory (4-7) 68-53 on Sunday. Tarn.Gory looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Jakub Czyz (205-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Dawid Weiss (188-1988) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Tarn.Gory players scored in double figures. Forward Filip Rerak (198-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jan Graniczka (191-1999) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Tarn.Gory went down to eleventh position due to points difference, which they share with AGH 2 and Gorzow. Wisla Krakow lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with TKM Wloclawek. Tarn.Gory will meet at home higher ranked Cracovia (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wisla Krakow will play against Czeladz (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
