No shocking result in a game when third ranked Tortona (6-2) edged at home 11th ranked Napoli (3-5) 74-73 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of American Mike Daum (206-1995, college: S.Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import swingman JP Macura (196-1995, college: Xavier) who added 16 points during the contest. American center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Tortona maintains third position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Virtus BO, which they share with Varese. Loser Napoli dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Sassari and Brindisi. Tortona will meet bottom-ranked Verona (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Napoli will play against Brescia (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
