There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Saint Vallier (2-5) won against at home higher ranked Lille Metropole (4-3) 100-94 on Tuesday. Saint Vallier made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Lille Metropole outrebounded Saint Vallier 34-20. American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-1989, college: IU Southeast) fired 27 points for the winners. Spanish point guard Xavier Forcada (193-1988) chipped in 14 points and 9 assists. Center Bastien Vautier (210-1998) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and Lorenzo Thirouard-Samson (197-2001) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saint Vallier moved-up to sixteenth place. Loser Lille Metropole dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Saint Vallier will meet at home league's leader Etoile Angers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
