Regular Season Round 7: Saint Quentin - St. Chamond 84-80

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Saint Chamond (3-4) was defeated on the road by first ranked Saint-Quentin (5-2) 84-80 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Saint Chamond outrebounded Saint-Quentin 44-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Center Mathis Dossou-Yovo (205-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago point guard Terrell Gomez (173-1998, college: SDSU) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Theo Magrit (189-2001) produced 16 points and Nigerian-American forward Josh Ajayi (201-1996, college: USA) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saint-Quentin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-2 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Saint Chamond dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
