Regular Season Round 12: Tarbes-Lourdes - Toulouse 98-63

The most important game in the last round took place in Tarbes between second ranked Toulouse (8-4) and tenth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (5-7) on Tuesday night. Toulouse was crushed by Lourdes-Tarbes on the road 98-63. Lourdes-Tarbes shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Toulouse's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Ludovic Martel (208-2000) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-1994) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Cedric Andre (202-1993) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and naturalized Algerian point guard Samir Mekdad (191-1986) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Toulouse at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Lourdes-Tarbes is looking forward to face Tours (#12) on the road in the next round. Toulouse will play against the league's second-placed Loon-Plage (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
