Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Baku: Xirdalan (#4) and Neftci (#7). Neftci was defeated at home 68-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Xirdalan brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Devin Pullum (188, college: Rogers St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward Andrew Corum (201-1996, college: Virginia St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Xirdalan's coach Ugur Ozdemir allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Dennis Jones (185, college: PVAMU) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Neftci. Xirdalan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with NTD. Neftci lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost.
