No shocking result in a game when second ranked Umea (10-3) beat on the road 10th ranked Kalmar (3-11) 91-76. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Gustav Hansson (185-1995) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) who added 25 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Umea's coach Boris Balibrea allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Slovenian Jan Tratnik (190-1989) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Jamaure Gregg (201-1999, college: NSU) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Kalmar players scored in double figures. Umea maintains second position with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Boras. Newly promoted Kalmar keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Umea will play against Uppsala (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kalmar will play against Norrkoping and hopes to get back on the winning track.
