Regular Season Round 9: San Salvatore - Roseto 81-56

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Roseto (2-6) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked San Salvatore (5-4) 81-56 on Saturday. San Salvatore made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Roseto turnovers. Polish forward Aleksandra Makurat (187-1997, college: Utah) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Slovenian forward Zala Srot (184-2004) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four San Salvatore players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Martina Lombardo (177) with 17 points and North Macedonian point guard Tijana Mitreva (174-2001) scored 9 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for San Salvatore. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Roseto lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. San Salvatore will meet Savona (#9) on the road in the next round. Roseto will play against Matelica (#7) and hope to secure a win.
