The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Llucmajor (8-1) on the court of twelfth ranked Almozara on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Almozara 75-71. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Llucmajor. Strangely Llucmajor outrebounded Almozara 62-31 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Victor Alijarde (200-1997) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Jorge Bermudez (187-1997) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Almozara players scored in double figures. Center Antoni Vicens (204-1990) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds and American forward Ryan Nicholas (201-1991, college: Portland) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Llucmajor. Almozara (3-7) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Llucmajor at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Chantada and Gandia. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
