Regular Season Round 10: Akersberga - Jamtland 2 75-63

Rather predictable result in Stockholm where third ranked Akersberga (6-3) defeated 7th ranked Jamtland 2 (3-6) 75-63 on Saturday. Akersberga forced 22 Jamtland 2 turnovers. Tom Nilsson fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Arvid Lindgren chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Akersberga players scored in double figures. Mustafa Hamid produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Gustav Vagstrom (196-2005) added 4 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akersberga have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Umea 2. Loser Jamtland 2 dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Akersberga will meet AIK 2 (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Jamtland 2 will have a break next round.
