The biggest surprise took place in llkirch-Graff. where host SIG (4-3) beat league's leader Charnay (5-2) 70-62 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Charnay. SIG made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Charnay turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Charnay helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Manuella Hatchi (174-1994) fired 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Spanish point guard Binta Drame-Lo (171-2002) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Coralie Chabrier (169-2000, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Charnay's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SIG moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Charnay at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Montbrison. They were replaced at the leadership position by Feytiat. Charnay will play next round against Calais trying to make it back to the top of the standings. SIG will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Montbrison on the road.
