We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Venezia (4-5) lost on the road to ninth ranked Brindisi (4-5) 75-63 on Sunday. Brindisi forced 19 Venezia turnovers. American guard Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 28 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international point guard Bruno Mascolo (190-1996, agency: Players Group) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Uruguayan guard Jayson Granger (188-1989) came up with 16 points and 5 assists and American Allerik Freeman (190-1994, college: NC State) added 14 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively for Venezia in the defeat. Venezia's coach Walter De Raffaele rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Brindisi moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Venezia.
