Regular Season Round 10: Ardoi - Easo 78-67

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Ardoi (3-4) defeated higher ranked Easo (5-4) in Zizur Mayor 78-67 on Sunday. Ardoi forced 20 Easo turnovers and outrebounded them 46-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Power forward Adrian Garcia (203-1985) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Pope Urtasun (187-1980) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Ardoi players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Inigo de la Hera (185-1999) did not help to save the game for Easo. French power forward Maxime Carene (209-2001) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ardoi moved-up to tenth place. Loser Easo dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Ardoi will meet Pas Pielagos (#11) in the next round. Easo will play against the league's second-placed Bilbao (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
