Regular Season Round 13: Pelplin - Bytom 83-72

There was no surprise in Pelpin where 17th ranked Polonia (2-11) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Decka (4-8) 83-72 on Sunday. Decka made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Guard Damian Ciesielski (187-1997) fired 22 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Swingman Karol Obarek (194-1993) chipped in 22 points. American guard Alphonso Willis (188-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Karol Jagoda (194-2001) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Decka maintains fifteenth place with 4-8 record. Newly promoted Polonia keeps the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Decka are looking forward to face higher ranked Enea Basket (#9) in Poznan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polonia will play on the road against Miast Szkla (#8) in Krosno and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
