Regular Season Round 11: Monaco - Blois 71-74

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Monaco (4-7) was edged at home by sixth ranked Blois (9-3) 74-71 on Sunday. Blois forced 21 Monaco turnovers. Strangely Monaco outrebounded Blois 45-30 including 20 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Maxime Sconard (195-2003) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Tom Lambert chipped in 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Iranian swingman Mohammad Amini (192-2005, agency: BIG) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and Ambroise Couture (199-2002) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Blois. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Limoges CSP. Monaco lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Blois will meet Nancy (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monaco will play against Levallois and hope to secure a win.
