Regular Season Round 11: Rybnik - J.Gora 77-57

The game between third ranked J.Gora (7-3) and seventh ranked Rybnik (6-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. J.Gora was crushed by Rybnik in Rybnik 77-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of J.Gora. They outrebounded J.Gora 43-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Rybnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by J.Gora's players. It was a great evening for power forward Martyna Czyzewska (189-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Paulina Majda (172-1999) helped adding 15 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four Rybnik players scored in double figures. Alicja Szloser (179-1997) responded with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Aleksandra Lorenz (186-1999) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rybnik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Swarzedz. Newly promoted J.Gora keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with GTK Gdynia and Bochnia. Rybnik is looking forward to face Pol.Krakow (#8) on the road in the next round. J.Gora will play against Swarzedz (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
