Very important is a road loss of third ranked Latvian Talsi (5-3) against top-ranked Swedish Alvik (3-0) on Sunday night. Visiting Talsi was defeated by Alvik in Stockholm 65-51. The game was mostly controlled by Alvik. Talsi managed to win second period 16-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Talsi to just 5 points in first quarter. Forward Adam Lindahl scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ludvig Prytz chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Alvik's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Markuss Akmenlauks with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Karlis Skilins produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Alvik have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Talsi keeps the third position with three games lost.
