Top ranked Metropolitans (10-2) recorded its second loss on the court of eleventh ranked Chorale de Roanne on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Chorale de Roanne 102-77. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Metropolitans. Chorale de Roanne made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Metropolitans 42-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Chorale de Roanne looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chorale de Roanne made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Stefan Moody (179-1993, college: Ole Miss) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import swingman Ronald March (196-1993, college: Philander Smith) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach Jean-Denys Choulet felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Victor Wembanyama (220-2004) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Chorale de Roanne have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Blois and Nanterre. Metropolitans at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Chorale de Roanne is looking forward to face higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Metropolitans will play against the league's second-placed Monaco (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
