Regular Season Round 13: Katy Wroc. - Slask 3 85-83

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Slask 3 (5-8) was edged by sixth ranked Katy Wroc. (8-5) in Katy Wroclawskie 85-83 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-1983) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and power forward Tomasz Giniewski (195-1988) accounted for 24 points and 7 rebounds. Katy Wroc.'s coach Jacek Kolis used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Center Karol Kankowski (202-2005) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Mateusz Kazmierczak (191-2005) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Slask 3 in the defeat. Four Slask 3 players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Katy Wroc.. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Slask 3 dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Katy Wroc. will meet higher ranked Koscian (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask 3 will play against Zary (#6) and hope to secure a win.
