Very expected game when 12th ranked Gorzow (4-9) lost at home to leader Miedzychod (13-0) 83-71 on Wednesday. Miedzychod outrebounded Gorzow 49-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Mariusz Malachowski (194-1985) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Damian Szymczak (186-1995) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Norbert Grzegorczyk (197-2000) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Adam Chodkiewicz (198-1990) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Gorzow in the defeat. Five Miedzychod and four Gorzow players scored in double figures. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Miedzychod. They maintain first place with 13-0 record, which they share with AZS AWF Mick. Gorzow lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Siechnice and Ogniwo Szcz.. Miedzychod will meet at home Sudety (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gorzow will play against Gimbasket in Wroclaw and hope to secure a win.
