There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Ragusa (3-7) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Padova Unione (4-7) 75-66 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for center Ivan Morgillo (206-1992, agency: Players Group) who led the winners and scored 29 points. Corrado Bianconi (202-1994) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Naturalized Maltese center Kurt Cassar (208-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Giovanni Ianelli (190-2000) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Ragusa in the defeat. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Padova Unione moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 8 other teams. Loser Ragusa dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost.
